Jocoy's interest in world art and folk art motivated her to see these art forms made in their country of origin and in their cultural context. She has traveled to India, Mexico, Kenya, Egypt, Tunisia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Turkey, Oman, Thailand, Maldives, Singapore, France, Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Guatemala, Ecuador, Spain, Portugal, and many more countries. Along with contemporary fine arts and folk art, Jocoy has traversed these areas inspecting fine and decorative arts in museums and galleries.
Jocoy is a frequent traveler to the Southwest and attends Santa Fe's annual Indian Market every year. She is on a first name basis with Native American artists and with many gallery owners.
