For over twenty-five years Jan Jessie Jocoy has been a full-time professional personal property appraiser specializing in the valuation of antiques, collectibles, and residential contents and particular types of tribal arts. She is a certified as a generalist appraiser and regularly appraises everyday common and ordinary objects but she also has experience with various personal property types: including areas of tribal arts, textiles, rugs, Native American Indian arts and objects, and Mexican folk art.
She has appraised antiques, collectibles, fine art, rugs, textiles, since the 1980’s. In the 1990’s, Jan earned her first appraisal certification, and served as president of Appraisers National Association. Soon after, Jan received her appraisal credential with the International Society of Appraisers and today remains a member appraiser with ISA. Along with regularly appraising household contents, collectibles, and residential contents, for estate tax and planning, insurance, sales advisories, equitable distribution and more, she appraises fine art, Native American pottery, Navajo rugs, Asian art, and Mexican folk art and paintings.
